सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि देश को तोड़ने वाली मुस्लिम लीग के साथ मिलकर आज़ादी से पहले
सरकार बनाने वालों के राजनीतिक वंशज नौवीं कक्षा में इतिहास के पाठ्यक्रम से
छेड़-छाड़ कर रहे है, और
हरियाणा के छात्रों को ‘‘आज़ादी
के आंदोलन’’ का
गलत इतिहास पढ़ा रहे हैं। यह स्वतंत्रता संग्राम का घोर अपमान है और लाखों करोड़ों
स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों की कुर्बानी को नकारने की भाजपाई साजिश। भारतीय राष्ट्रीय
कांग्रेस इसे कभी स्वीकार नहीं करेगी।
सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि अपनी सच्चाई को झुठलाने के लिए पूरे इतिहास को ही ग़लत बताना भाजपा-आरएसएस का एजेंडा रहा है। अब नौवीं कक्षा की पुस्तक में स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के इतिहास को दरकिनार कर व मनगढंत बातें लिखकर करोड़ों स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों सहित राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी व लोकमान्य बाल गंगाधर तिलक का अपमान किया गया है। इसके लिए मुख्यमंत्री, श्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर को प्रदेश व देश की जनता से माफी मांगनी चाहिए।
सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस पर मुस्लिम लीग के साथ मिल तुष्टिकरण का झूठा व षडयंत्रकारी आरोप लगाने वाली खट्टर सरकार इतिहास के पन्नों पर अंकित सटीक तथ्यों का देश व प्रदेश की जनता को जवाब दे। वे बताएं कि भाजपाई विचारधारा के पितृ संगठन हिंदू महासभा ने ‘‘तुष्टिकरण’’ करने वाली मुस्लिम लीग के साथ मिलकर सिंध व बंगाल में सरकार क्यों बनाई थी? क्या श्री श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी व हिंदू महासभा साल 1941 में मुस्लिम लीग के साथ बंगाल में सरकार बना कर मंत्री नहीं बने? बंगाल की उस मुस्लिम लीग - हिंदू महासभा सरकार के मुखिया फजलुल हक़ थे, जो ‘‘पाकिस्तान रिज़ॉल्यूशन’’, यानि पाकिस्तान बनाने का रिज़ॉल्यूशन लेकर आए थे।
सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि खट्टर सरकार को देश व प्रदेश की जनता को जवाब देना चाहिए कि क्या हिंदू महासभा ने मुस्लिम लीग के नेतृत्व में सिंध व उत्तर पश्चिम सीमांत प्रांत में गठबंधन सरकार नहीं बनाई थी? उन्होंने पूछा कि 3 मार्च, 1943 को सिंध विधानसभा ने भारत से अलग हो पाकिस्तान बनाने का प्रस्ताव पास किया और उस वक्त भी व उसके बाद भी हिंदू महासभा के लोग सरकार में मंत्री क्यों बने रहे? 1942 में जब महात्मा गांधी के नेतृत्व में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस ने ‘‘अंग्रेज़ों भारत छोड़ो’’ का नारा दिया, तो मुस्लिम लीग और हिंदू महासभा ने अंग्रेज़ों का साथ क्यों दिया?
ऐतिहासिक तथ्यों का हवाला देते हुए सुरजेवाला ने बताया कि वर्ष 1920 में महात्मा गांधी ने ‘‘असहयोग आंदोलन’’ शुरू किया था। हिंदू-मुस्लिम एकता के लिए असहयोग और खिलाफत आंदोलन एक साथ चलाए गए थे। नए पाठ्यक्रम की पुस्तक में भारत की आजादी के सबसे बड़े आंदोलन ‘‘असहयोग आंदोलन’’ का नाम ना लिख कर सिर्फ ‘‘खिलाफत आंदोलन’’ का नाम लिखा गया है, जो महात्मा गांधी सहित लाखों स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों का अपमान है। उन्होंने कहा कि असहयोग और खिलाफत आंदोलन में पूरे विश्व में हिंदू-मुस्लिम एकता और राष्ट्रीय एकजुटता की अद्भुत मिसाल पेश की थी। इसे मुस्लिम लीग का तुष्टीकरण कहना देशद्रोह के समान है। इन तथ्यों को जानबूझकर छात्रों से इस पुस्तक में छिपा कर उनके भविष्य से खिलवाड़ किया जा रहा है।
सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि 1916 का कांग्रेस और मुस्लिम लीग का जो समझौता हुआ था, उसमें कांग्रेस की ओर से लोकमान्य बाल गंगाधर तिलक और मुस्लिम लीग की तरफ से मोहम्मद अली जिन्ना शामिल हुए थे। श्रीमती एनी बेसेंट की इसमें महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका थी। देश में सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव और हिंदू मुस्लिम एकता के उद्देश्य से लोकमान्य ने जो समझौता किया था, उसे मुस्लिम लीग का तुष्टीकरण बताकर यह पुस्तक महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, लोकमान्य बाल गंगाधर तिलक का घोर अपमान कर रही है।
सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि बेहतर होता कि बच्चों को यह पढ़ाया जाता कि हिंदू महासभा का अध्यक्ष बनने के बाद 1937 में सावरकर ने अपने पहले भाषण में कहा कि हिंदू और मुसलमान दो अलग-अलग राष्ट्र हैं। यही बात जिन्ना ने भी बाद में कही। दो राष्ट्रों का यही सिद्धांत देश के विभाजन का कारण बना। डॉ भीमराव अम्बेडकर ने भी लिखा है कि जिन्ना और सावरकर बाकी मामलों में कितने भी अलग हों, लेकिन ‘‘दो नेशन थ्योरी’’ के मामले में उनके विचार आश्चर्यजनक रूप से एक जैसे हैं।
दोनों नेता एक दूसरे के समुदायों के प्रति कटुतापूर्ण व्यवहार और प्रचार करके अंग्रेजों के हाथों में खेल रहे थे, पर भारत की अखंडता बनाए रखने के लिए महात्मा गांधी के नेतृत्व में कांग्रेस लगातार प्रयासरत थी। आजादी के आंदोलन में जब भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस और करोड़ों हिंदुस्तानी अंग्रेजों से लोहा ले रहे थे, तो अंग्रेज का पिट्ठू बन भीतरघात करने वालों का साक्षी स्वतंत्रता संग्राम का इतिहास है।
सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि भाजपा और खट्टर सरकार लगातार जनता को असल मुद्दों से भटकाकर साम्प्रदायिक उन्माद व जातीय टकराव की ओर धकेल रहे हैं। लेकिन, इस बार इन्होंने हमारे मासूम बच्चों को निशाना बनाया है। ये हरियाणा प्रदेश और देश को नफरत और बंटवारे की तरफ धकेलने की एक और साजिश है। भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस उनके आका अंग्रेजों के सामने नहीं झुकी, तो आज नफ़रत परोसने वाली भाजपा-जजपा की खट्टर सरकार के आगे कैसे झुकेगी।
सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि नौवीं कक्षा की इस किताब को बगैर देरी वापस लिया जाए। मुख्यमंत्री व शिक्षा मंत्री प्रदेश के लोगों से आगे बढ़ माफ़ी मांगें और वादा करें कि भविष्य में छल-कपट से इतिहास बदलने का दुस्साहस कभी नहीं करेंगे।
Senior Congress leader and party's national General Secretary, Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the political descendants of those who formed the government before independence in alliance with the Muslim League, instrumental in breaking the country, are now fiddling with the history syllabus of class IX in Haryana, and are teaching the students the distorted history of the "Freedom Movement". This is a gross insult to the freedom struggle, and a BJP conspiracy to negate the sacrifices of millions of freedom fighters. Indian National Congress will never accept it.
Surjewala said that it has been the agenda of BJP-RSS to falsify the entire history to purge themselves of their ugly past reality. Now, while bypassing the history of the freedom struggle and writing fabricated things in the ninth-class text book, an attempt is being made to denigrate the millions of freedom fighters including the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. For this, the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal Khattar should apologise to the people of the state and the country.
Surjewala said that the Khattar government, which had falsely and conspiratorially accused the Indian National Congress of appeasing the Muslim League, should answer the people of the country and the state on the following historical facts:-
1. Why did the Hindu Mahasabha, the parent organisation of the BJP ideology, form the government in Sindh and Bengal in alliance with the Muslim League?
2. Didn't Shri Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Hindu Mahasabha, joined the Fazlul Haq ministry in Bengal, in 1941. The same, Fazlul Haq, before his fallout with the Muslim League, who had moved the ‘Pakistan resolution’, which committed the Muslim League to a separate Muslim nation.
3. Did the Hindu Mahasabha not form a coalition government under the leadership of the Muslim League in Sindh and the North West Frontier Province? On March 3, 1943, the Sindh Legislative Assembly passed a resolution in support of a division of India on communal lines, why the members of Hindu Mahasabha were part of that Government and why they continued to remain as ministers in the same government even after that objectionable resolution?
4. Why did the Muslim League and the Hindu Mahasabha support the British in 1942, when the Indian National Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi had given the slogan of "British Quit India”? After 1942, Congress and other parties were banned but the Muslim League and the Hindu Mahasabha were not banned?
Referring to historical facts, Surjewala said that in the year 1920, Mahatma Gandhi started the "Non-Cooperation Movement". Non-cooperation and Khilafat movements were launched simultaneously for forging Hindu-Muslim unity. In the text book with the new syllabus, instead of writing the name of the biggest movement of India's independence, "Non-Cooperation Movement", the name of "Khilafat Movement" has only been mentioned to mislead the students, which is an insult to lakhs of freedom fighters including Mahatma Gandhi. He said that the non-cooperation and Khilafat movements had set a glorious example of Hindu-Muslim unity and national solidarity all over the world. Calling it appeasement of Muslim League tantamount to treason. By deliberately hiding these facts from the students in this text book, they are playing with the future of the students.
Surjewala said that Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak on behalf of Congress and Muhammad Ali Jinnah on behalf of Muslim League had participated in the agreement of 1916 reached between Congress and Muslim League. Mrs Annie Besant had an important role in this. This book is insulting the great freedom fighter, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, by calling this agreement reached at by Lokmanya for the purpose of communal harmony and Hindu-Muslim unity in the country as appeasement of Muslim League.
Surjewala said that it would have been better if the children were taught about historians view about Savarkar, who after becoming the President of the Hindu Mahasabha, in his first speech in 1937 had said that Hindus and Muslims are two different nations. Jinnah also said the same thing later. This principle of two nations led to the partition of the country.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar has also written that no matter how different Jinnah and Savarkar may be in other respects, their views are surprisingly similar in the case of "Two Nation Theory".
Both the leaders were playing in the hands of the British by behaving and campaigning bitterly against each other's communities, but the Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi was consistently striving to maintain the integrity of India.
In the freedom movement, when the Indian National Congress and crores of Indians were taking on the British, the history of the freedom struggle is witness to those who became the stooges of the British to sabotage the cause of freedom struggle.
The BJP and the Khattar government are constantly busy in diverting the attention of the people from the real issues and pushing them towards communal frenzy and caste clashes. But, this time they have targeted our innocent children. This is another conspiracy to push the state of Haryana and the country towards hatred and divisiveness. When the Indian National Congress did not tumble down before Britishers, who were the masters of present day rulers of Haryana, then how the BJP-JJP Government, which is only serving hatred today, can imagine that the Congress can bow before their government.
We demand that this book of class IX should be withdrawn without any delay. The Chief Minister and the Education Minister should come forward and apologise to the people of the state and promise that in future they will never dare to change history by means of fraud.
