 City Life Haryana।नेशनल डेक्स / उत्तर प्रदेश में 2022 के विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले कांग्रेस पार्टी को बड़ा झटका लगा है। दिग्गज नेता और पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री जितिन प्रसाद ने बीजेपी का दामन थाम लिया है। बीजेपी नेता और केंद्रीय मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने उन्हें पार्टी की सदस्यता दिलाई।

Former Union minister and Congress leader Jitin Prasada joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday, saying the ruling party is the best suited to serve people during the current challenging times. He called his move a new chapter in his political life and a well-thought-out decision.

- उत्तर प्रदेश के शाहजहांपुर के रहने वाले जितिन प्रसाद के पिता स्वर्गीय जितेन्द्र प्रसाद कांग्रेस के दिग्गज नेता थे।

- जितिन प्रसाद को कांग्रेस में साल 2001 में युवा कांग्रेस में सचिव पद की जिम्मेदारी दी गई।

- 2004 के लोकसभा चुनाव में जितिन प्रसाद अपनी गृह सीट शाहजहांपुर से जीतकर लोकसभा पहुंचे।

- साल 2008 में जितिन प्रसाद भरोसा जताते हुए उन्हें मनमोहन सिंह सरकार में केंद्रीय राज्य इस्पात मंत्री की जिम्मेदारी दी गई।

- जितिन प्रसाद 2009 के चुनाव में यूपी की धौरहरा सीट से जीतकर लोकसभा पहुंचे।

- 2014 और 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव में उन्हें करारी हार का सामना करना पड़ा।

- जितिन प्रसाद काफी लंबे समय से कांग्रेस पार्टी से नाराज चल रहे थे।

For himself, Mr. Prasada said, joining the BJP was a start of a new chapter in his political life and he had done so as he felt it was the only party currently that was an “institutionally national party” and all other parties were either personality oriented or regional in nature. “As for the Congress party, I left because I felt that if one is unable to serve one’s people or protect their interests being in a certain party, it is better to leave. Under the BJP and and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I feel that I will be better able to serve my people,” he said at the presser.

- वो उन 23 नेताओं में भी शामिल थे जिन्होंने सोनिया गांधी को चिट्ठी लिखी थी।

- यूपी कांग्रेस में बड़ी जिम्मेदारी चाहते थे लेकिन उन्हें पार्टी में नजरअंदाज किया जा रहा था।

- जितिन प्रसाद को कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी का बेहद करीबी माना जाता था।

- लेकिन, कुछ वक्त से वह कांग्रेस पार्टी में हाशिये पर थे।

- हालांकि उन्होंने इसे लेकर कोई खुला विरोध नहीं किया था, लेकिन वो लगातार पार्टी से खुश न रहने का संकेत दे रहे थे।

Mr. Prasada’s entry into the party may unsettle some equations in the BJP, not just in the Adityanath camp but also among those Brahmin leaders in the party who were jockeying for position as purveyors of the interests of the community.
