Panchkula - पुलिस स्मृति दिवस: पुलिस के 377 अमर शहीदों को किया नमन

पंचकूला news। हरियाणा के पुलिस महानिदेशक (डीजीपी) प्रशांत कुमार अग्रवाल ने पुलिस स्मृति दिवस-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 के अवसर पर सेवारत और सेवानिवृत्त पुलिस अधिकारियों का नेतृत्व करते हुए कर्तव्य-परायणता के दौरान अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने वाले पुलिस शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।

अग्रवाल ने पंचकूला स्थित पुलिस स्मारक पर गत वर्ष पुलिस सहित केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों के 𝟑𝟕𝟕 अमर शहीदों को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए कहा कि देश की कानून-व्यवस्था, एकता और अखंडता बनाए रखने के लिए हमारे शूरवीरों द्वारा दिए गए सर्वाच्च बलिदान को कभी भुलाया नहीं जा सकता। उन्होंने कहा कि इस वर्ष हरियाणा पुलिस के सिपाही संदीप कुमार ने भी ड्यूटी के दौरान कर्तव्य-परायणता एवं अदम्य साहस का परिचय देते हुए शहादत प्राप्त की। देश इन वीरों का सदैव ऋणी रहेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इन बहादुर व जांबाज जवानों का सर्वाच्च बलिदान गर्व से खाकी पहनने वालों के लिए प्रेरणा है।

पुलिस बल के अमर शहीदों के साहस एवं बलिदान को सलाम करते हुए डीजीपी ने उन कर्मवीरों को भी श्रद्धांजलि दी, जिन्होंने कोविड महामारी के कठिन समय में मानवता की सेवा करते हुए अपनी जान गंवाई। स्वयं की जान जोखिम में डालकर इन कोरोना योद्धाओं ने न तो हिम्मत हारी और न ही जन सुरक्षा के प्रति इनके समर्पण में कोई कमी आई।

Paying rich tributes to 377 martyrs from Police and Central Armed Police Forces of last year, Agrawal said that supreme sacrifice made by our bravehearts for maintaining law and order, unity and integrity of the nation can never be forgotten. He said that this year, constable Sandeep Kumar from Haryana Police also sacrificed his life in the line of duty. The nation would always be grateful to these bravehearts. Their supreme sacrifice is an inspiration to everyone who proudly wears Khaki, he added.

Saluting the courage and sacrifice of these martyrs, the DGP also paid tributes to those karamveers who lost their lives during the tough times of Covid pandemic. By putting their lives at risk, these warriors have neither lost the courage nor there has been any decrease in devotion to public safety.

The DGP also placed a wreath and paid respects to the martyrs at the Police Memorial. He was followed by ADGP Crime O.P. Singh, ADGP CID Alok Mittal, ADGP Admin & IT A.S. Chawla, ADGP (Law and Order), Navdeep Singh Virk, DGP (Retd.) K. Selvaraj, IGP Modernization Amitabh Singh Dhillon, IGP CM Flying Squad Rajinder Singh, DIG O.P. Narwal and other police officers/officials.

Hailing the efforts of the state government, the DGP said that a special ex-gratia grant of Rs 30 lakh is being given to family members of police personnel who die in the line of duty. In addition, financial assistance of Rs 65 lakh is also being given to the next-of-kin of the deceased personnel under a special agreement of accidental death insurance cover with the bank.

On this occasion, Commissioner of Police Panchkula, Saurabh Singh read out the names of police martyrs of state’s police and Central Armed Police Forces to acknowledge the supreme sacrifices made by them.

Police Commemoration Day is observed every year on October 21 in memory of 10 police personnel who died at Hot Springs in Ladakh while fighting Chinese troops in 1959.

डीजीपी ने पुलिस स्मारक पर अमर शहीदों को पुष्पांजलि भी अर्पित की। उनके साथ एडीजीपी क्राइम ओपी सिंह, एडीजीपी सीआईडी आलोक मित्तल, एडीजीपी एडमिन एंड आईटी ए.एस. चावला, एडीजीपी (लॉ एंड ऑर्डर), नवदीप सिंह विर्क, डीजीपी (सेवानिवृत्त) के. सेल्वराज, आईजीपी आधुनिकीकरण अमिताभ सिंह ढिल्लों, आईजीपी सीएम फ्लाइंग स्क्वायड राजिंदर सिंह, डीआईजी ओपी नरवाल एवं अन्य पुलिस अधिकारी व जवानों ने भी पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर शहीदों को नमन किया।

राज्य सरकार के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए डीजीपी ने कहा कि ड्यूटी के दौरान वीरगति को प्राप्त होने वाले पुलिसकर्मियों के परिजनों को 𝟑𝟎 लाख रुपये की विशेष अनुग्रह अनुदान राशि प्रदान की जाती है। इसके अतिरिक्त, दुर्घटना मृत्यु बीमा कवर के विशेष समझौते के तहत मृतक कर्मियों के परिजनों को 𝟔𝟓 लाख रुपये की आर्थिक सहायता भी दी जा रही है।

इस अवसर पर पुलिस आयुक्त पंचकूला, सौरभ सिंह ने राज्य पुलिस और केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों के शहीदों के नाम पढ़कर उनके द्वारा किए गए सर्वाच्च बलिदान को याद करते हुए श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।

𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟗 में चीनी सैनिकों से लड़ते हुए लद्दाख के हॉट स्प्रिंग्स में शहीद हुए 𝟏𝟎 पुलिस कर्मियों की याद में हर साल 𝟐𝟏 अक्टूबर को पुलिस स्मृति दिवस मनाया जाता है।
