बता दें कि पंचकूला से मोरनी जाने वाली लगभग 17 किलोमीटर लंबी सड़क को चौड़ा और मजबूत किया जाना है। यह सड़क पंचकूला के खौल-ही-राइतान वन्य अभयारण्य के क्षेत्र में आती है। इस सड़क के निर्माण कार्य के लिए केंद्र सरकार के नेशनल बोर्ड आफ वाइल्ड लाइफ की मंजूरी अनिवार्य है। मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल ने कहा कि पंचकूला के विकास और पर्यटन के लिए इस सड़क का चौड़ा होना अति आवश्यक है। इसे ध्यान में रखते हुए उन्होंने तत्काल राज्य वन्यजीव बोर्ड को इस सड़क के चौड़ा और मजबूत करने का प्रस्ताव बनाकर नेशनल बोर्ड आफ वाइल्ड लाइफ को भेजने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि इस सड़क के नवनिर्माण से पंचकूला महानगरीय विकास प्रोजेक्ट को बल मिलेगा और मोरनी क्षेत्र में पर्यटकों को भी आवागमन की बेहतर सुविधाएं मिलेंगी।

while presiding over the sixth meeting of State Wildlife Board Haryana held
today also accorded approval to send the proposal regarding further
strengthening and widening of the road going from Panchkula to Morni to the
Central Government. Minister of Forest and Wildlife Department, Kanwar Pal also remained present on this
occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that about a 17 km long road from Panchkula to Morni is to be widened and strengthened. This road comes under the area of Khol-hi-Raitan Wildlife Sanctuary in Panchkula. The approval of the National Board of Wildlife of the Central Government is mandatory for the construction of this road.
The Chief Minister said that widening of this road is very essential for the development and tourism of Panchkula and while keeping this in mind, he immediately directed the State Wildlife Board to make a proposal to widen and strengthen this road and send it to the National Board of Wildlife.
Manohar Lal said that with the renovation of this road, Panchkula Metropolitan Development Project would get a boost and tourists would also get better transportation facilities in the Morni area.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that there should be no delay in the proposals related to forest area, wildlife and environment. He directed the departmental officers that the proposals related to these should be reviewed in time and decisions should be taken for the same so that development works can be done in a time-bound manner. He further directed the officers concerned to pay special attention to wildlife conservation.
The project of the Indian Institute of Ayurveda to be established at Shree Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Panchkula was also discussed during the meeting.This project was also sent to the National Board of Wildlife of the Central Government for approval.

प्रस्तावों में न हो देरी
बैठक के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल ने कहा कि वन क्षेत्र, वाइल्ड लाइफ और पर्यावरण से जुड़े प्रस्तावों में कोई देरी न की जाए। उन्होंने विभागीय अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि इनसे जुड़े प्रस्तावों को समय रहते रिव्यू करके उन पर फैसले लिए जाएं ताकि विकास कार्य समयबद्ध तरीके से किए जा सकें। इसके साथ-साथ मुख्यमंत्री ने वन्यजीव संरक्षण पर भी विशेष ध्यान देने के लिए कहा।
बैठक के दौरान श्री माता मनसा देवी श्राइन बोर्ड, पंचकूला में स्थापित किए जाने वाले इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट आफ आयुर्वेदा के प्रोजेक्ट पर भी चर्चा की गई। यह प्रोजेक्ट भी मंजूरी के लिए केंद्र सरकार के नेशनल बोर्ड आफ वाइल्ड लाइफ को भेजा गया।
