Chandigarh- भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने की किसानों के लिए मुआवजे की मांग, बारिश के चलते कई फसलों को हुआ नुकसान

चंडीगढ़ः पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और नेता प्रतिपक्ष भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने किसानों के लिए मुआवजे की मांग की है। उनका कहना है कि पिछले लगभग 2 हफ्ते से लगातार रुक-रुककर बारिश हो रही है। इससे फसलों को भारी नुकसान हुआ है। आलू समेत सब्जी की कई फसलें तो पूरी तरह बर्बाद हो गई हैं। गेहूं और सरसों के किसानों को भी काफी नुकसान झेलना पड़ा है। इसलिए सरकार को बिना देरी किए किसानों को हुए नुकसान की स्पेशल गिरदावरी करवाकर तत्काल मुआवजा देना चाहिए।

हुड्डा ने कहा कि पिछले कई सीजन से किसान लगातार मौसम की मार झेल रहे हैं। बार-बार उनकी तरफ से मुआवजे की भी मांग की जाती है। लेकिन, ना बीमा कंपनियों की तरफ से और ना ही सरकार द्वारा उनके नुकसान की भरपाई की गई। पिछले सीजन में भी ज्यादा बारिश और जलभराव की वजह से साढ़े पांच लाख एकड़ से ज्यादा फसलों का खराबा हुआ था। लेकिन, आज तक किसान मुआवजे का इंतजार ही कर रहे हैं। ना सरकार ने मुआवजा दिया और ना ही जलभराव की समस्या का कोई समाधान किया। इसके चलते किसानों को पिछली फसल का तो नुकसान हुआ ही, इस सीजन में भी वे बुवाई नहीं कर सके। ऐसे में सरकार को उन किसानों के लिए डबल मुआवजे का ऐलान करना चाहिए। साथ ही, उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार को पिछले दिनों हुई बारिश के चलते हुए व्यापक जलभराव की निकासी के लिए भी फौरन व्यवस्था करनी चाहिए। ताकि किसानों को और अधिक नुकसान से बचाया जा सके।

भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने कहा कि वे कोरोना संक्रमण की वजह से आइसोलेशन में हैं। लेकिन, जल्द ही पूरी तरह स्वस्थ होकर किसानों के बीच पहुंचेंगे। क्योंकि, उन्हें लगातार किसानों की शिकायतें मिल रही हैं। कहीं उन्हें मौसम की मार झेलनी पड़ रही है तो कहीं सरकारी कुप्रबंधन। सरकारी अनदेखी की वजह से पहले उन्हें डीएपी नहीं मिला, अब यूरिया और सूरजमुखी के बीज के लिए उनके चक्कर कटवाए जा रहे हैं। हुड्डा ने कहा कि सरकार अपने रवैये को सुधारे और अन्नदाता को परेशान करना बंद करे।

“Many vegetable crops, including potatoes, have been completely destroyed. Wheat and mustard farmers have also suffered due to this. Therefore, the government should give compensation to the farmers by doing a special Girdawari for the loss caused to farmer without any further delay,” he said.

Hooda said farmers are facing the wrath of the weather continuously for the last several seasons and they have demanded compensation several times but neither the insurance companies nor the government has compensated them for their losses. “In the last season too, more than five and a half lakh acres of crops were damaged due to excessive rain and water logging but, till date, the farmers are waiting for the compensation,” he said.

“The government neither gave compensation nor solved the problem of water logging. Therefore, farmers not only suffered loss of the previous crop, they could not sow this season also. In such a situation, the government should announce double compensation for those farmers. In addition to this, the government should also take immediate to drain out water from water-logged areas,” the former Chief Minister said.

Talking about his health, Hooda said that he is in isolation due to corona infection but reach among the farmers as soon as he gets healthy. “I have been constantly getting complaints from farmers as they are bearing the brunt of the weather besides government apathy and mismanagement. Earlier they did not get DAP due to government neglect, now they are facing shortage of urea and sunflower seeds. The government should improve its attitude and stop harassing the Annadata,” he said.
