चंडीगढ़।। हरियाणा कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष कुमारी सैलजा ने कहा कि भाजपा सरकार द्वारा सरकारी तंत्र का दुरुपयोग कर कांग्रेस नेता और गुजरात से विधायक जिग्नेश मेवाणी को आधी रात में गिरफ्तार करवाया गया। बीते बुधवार को असंवैधानिक तरीके से गिरफ्तार किए गए जिग्नेश मेवाणी को सोमवार को असम की कोकराझार कोर्ट से जमानत मिल गई, मगर उन्हें फिर एक अन्य मामले में असम पुलिस द्वारा गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। कांग्रेस पार्टी इसकी कड़ी निंदा करती है। सत्ता के नशे में चूर भाजपा सरकार ऐसी दमनकारी नीतियां अपनाकर जनता की आवाज को दबाना चाहती है। जिसमें वह कभी सफल नहीं हो पाएगी।
कहा कि ऐसी कार्रवाई अंग्रेजों की दमनकारी नीतियों की याद दिलाती हैं। भारतवर्ष में अंग्रेजों के द्वारा जनता की आवाज को दबाने के लिए ऐसी ही दमनकारी नीतियों का सहारा लिया जाता था। भाजपा भी उसी परिपाटी पर चल रही है।
पिछले कई दशकों में ये इकलौता ऐसा मामला है, जहां जनता द्वारा चुने हुए जनप्रतिनिधि को अदालत से जमानत मिलने के फ़ौरन बाद किसी और मामले में गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। ये घटना देश के लोकतंत्र को कमजोर करने वाली है। गिरफ्तारी से सरकार के खिलाफ आवाज उठाने वाले लोगों को डराने-धमकाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है।
कुमारी सैलजा ने कहा कि यह सरकार पुलिस के बल पर लोगों की आवाज को दबाना चाहती है। इस सरकार में सच को सुनने की हिम्मत नहीं है। सरकार लोकतंत्र को दबाने की कोशिश कर रही है। आम जनता, विपक्षी दलों के नेताओं और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं पर भाजपा सरकार का उत्पीड़न बढ़ता ही जा रहा है। सरकार पूरी तरह तानशाही पर उतर आई है।
इसका असली मकसद देश की जनता का ध्यान असली मुद्दों से हटाना है और असहमति की आवाज को दबाना है। संविधान में सबको एक समान नागरिक अधिकार दिए गए हैं। मगर भाजपा सरकार का संविधान में कोई विश्वास नहीं है। भाजपा सरकारों और भाजपा नेताओं का न तो लोकतंत्र की मान्यताओं के प्रति कोई सम्मान भाव है और न ही संविधान के प्रति कोई आस्था है।

Pradesh Congress Committee, Kumari Selja said that the BJP government got
arrested Congress leader and MLA from Gujarat Jignesh Mevani in midnight by
misusing the government machinery. Jignesh Mevani, who was arrested
unconstitutionally on Wednesday last, got bail from the Kokrajhar Court in
Assam on Monday, but was again arrested by the Assam Police in another case.
Congress party strongly condemns this act of the BJP government. The BJP
government wanted to suppress the voice of the people by adopting such
repressive policies, but it will never be able to succeed, she added.
In a statement issued here, Kumari Selja said that such actions were a reminder of the repressive policies of the British. In India, similar repressive policies were adopted by the British to suppress the voice of the people. BJP was also following the same pattern. This was the only case in the last several decades, where a public representative elected by the public was arrested in another case immediately after getting bail from the court. This incident was going to weaken the democracy of the country. With the arrest, an attempt was being made to intimidate those who raise their voice against the government, said Kumari Selja.
She said that this government wanted to suppress the voice of the people with the strength of the police. This government does not have the courage to listen to the truth. The government was trying to suppress democracy. The harassment of the BJP government on the general public, leaders of opposition parties and social workers was increasing continuously. The government had adopted complete dictatorship. Its real purpose was to divert the attention of the people from the real issues and suppress the voice of dissent. Everyone have been given equal civil rights in the constitution, but the BJP government had no faith in the Constitution. BJP governments and BJP leaders neither have any respect for the values of democracy nor do they have faith in the constitution.
Kumari Selja said that the true soldiers of Congress were not afraid of such antics of the government. Under the leadership of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party will continue to fight for truth.
सैलजा ने कहा कि सरकार की ऐसी हरकतों से कांग्रेस के सच्चे सिपाही डरने वाले नहीं है। कांग्रेस अध्यक्षा श्रीमती सोनिया गांधी और राहुल गांधी के नेतृत्व में कांग्रेस पार्टी सड़क से संसद तक सत्य की लड़ाई लड़ती रहेगी।
