चंडीगढ़, डिजिटल डेक्स।। एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो,हरियाणा द्वारा जहां भ्रष्टाचारियों पर लगातार शिकंजा कसा जा रहा है वहीं भ्रष्टाचार के मामलों में रंगे हाथ पकड़े गए सरकारी कर्मचारियों के विरुद्ध कोर्ट में कड़ी से कड़ी सजा दिलवाई जा रही है।

Police post incharge ASI gets 9 years in jail for taking bribe

ब्यूरो के प्रवक्ता ने आज यहां जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो की टीम ने पुन्हाना के तत्कालीन चौकी प्रभारी रहे सहायक उप निरीक्षक प्रहलाद सिंह को 14 जनवरी, 2019 को की गई रेड के दौरान एक डंपर मालिक से 18,000 रुपये की रिश्वत लेते रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार किया था। तभी से यह मामला अदालत में विचाराधीन था।

इसी दिशा में अतिरिक्त सेशन न्यायाधीश, जिला नूहं श्री संदीप कुमार दुग्गल की अदालत ने तत्कालीन चौकी प्रभारी रहे एएसआई प्रह्लाद सिंह को रिश्वत लेने के आरोप में दोषी मानते हुए भ्रष्टाचार अधिनियम की धारा-7 के तहत 4 साल कारावास व 2,000 जुर्माना तथा धारा-13 के तहत 5 साल कैद व 3,000 रुपये जुर्माने की सजा सुनाई है।

The Anti-Corruption Bureau, Haryana is continuously tightening its noose on the corrupt officials, at the same time it is also ensuring the conviction of the officials caught red-handed through the effective and concerted presentation of evidence before the concerned court.

In this series, the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Nuh Mr. Sandeep Kumar Duggal convicted the then police post in-charge ASI Prahalad Singh for taking bribe and sentenced him to 4 years imprisonment and Rs 2000 fine under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and 5 years imprisonment along with Rs 3000 fine under section 13. Both punishments will run concurrently.

While giving this information here today, a spokesperson of the Anti-Corruption Bureau said that the Bureau team arrested Assistant Sub-Inspector Prahalad Singh, who was the then police post in-charge of Punhana town, while taking a bribe of Rs 18,000 red-handed from a dumper owner during a raid conducted on January 14, 2019. Since then the matter was in court.

The court sentenced the guilty police officer to 4 years' imprisonment with a fine of Rs. 2000 under section 7 of PC Act and Rs. 3000 fine with 5 years' imprisonment under section 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
