चंडीगढ़ NEWS।  हरियाणा के गृह सचिव राजीव अरोड़ा ने आईपीएस भारती अरोड़ा को पत्र लिखकर वीआरएस (स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्त) पर पुनर्विचार करने को कहा है। अरोड़ा ने यह पत्र गृह मंत्री अनिल विज की नोटिंग के बाद भारती को भेजा है। 1998 बैच की आईपीएस भारती अरोड़ा वर्तमान में अम्बाला रेंज की आईजी हैं।

The letter sent to Bharti Arora read, You are requested to reconsider the decision regarding voluntary retirement as you are a good officer and the pride of the Police Department.

25 जून को उन्होंने प्रदेश सरकार को पत्र लिखकर वीआरएस की मांग की थी। गृह मंत्रालय से होते हुए 4 अगस्त को गृह मंत्री अनिल विज के पास यह फाइल पहुंची। विज ने फाइल पर ही नोटिंग करते हुए गृह सचिव को निर्देश दिए कि भारती अरोड़ा से उनके फैसले पर पुनर्विचार करने के लिए कहा जाए। इतना ही नहीं, विज ने अपनी नोटिंग में यह भी कहा था कि भारती अरोड़ा हरियाणा पुलिस की बेहतरीन अधिकारी हैं। हरियाणा में उनकी सेवाएं समाज के लिए फायदेमंद साबित होंगी। भारती के पास गृह सचिव की चिट्ठी पहुंच गई है, लेकिन अभी तक उनका जवाब नहीं आया है। अब गृह विभाग भारती अरोड़ा के जवाब का इंतजार करेगा। भारती की ओर से आने वाले रिप्लाई के बाद ही विभाग अगला फैसला करेगा। बताते हैं कि कई सामाजिक संगठन भी भारती पर वीआरएस नहीं लेने का दबाव बना रहे हैं।

A 1998 batch IPS officer, Arora is currently working as Inspector General of Police, Ambala range. She has sought retirement from the service with effect from August 1 when she will turn 50. She has applied for voluntary retirement under rule 16 (2) of All India Service (DCRB) Rules, 1958. In a letter addressed to Haryana Chief Secretary, Arora said, My service has been my pride and passion. I am very grateful to this service for providing me the opportunity to serve, to learn, and to grow. My gratitude to the state of Haryana for showing me the right path. Now I wish to achieve the ultimate goal of life. I yearn to traverse the path shown by the Holy Saints like Guru Nanak Dev, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Kabirdas, Tulsidas, Surdas, Meerabai, the Sufi Saints and dedicate the rest of my life in loving devotional service of Lord Sri Krishna.
