नेता प्रतिपक्ष ने कहा कि आज किसान पर मौसम, महंगाई, सरकारी कु’नीति व वादाखिलाफी की चौतरफा मार पड़ रही है। खेत में बारिश की वजह से किसान की मेहनत पर पानी फिर रहा है। सरकार का वायदा था 25 तारीख से खरीद शुरू हो जाएगी। लेकिन, मंडी में किसान की फसल, सरकारी लेटलतीफी का शिकार हो रही है। बार-बार मांग किए जाने के बावजूद अबतक सरकार ने मंडियों में धान की खरीद शुरू नहीं की है। इसलिए किसानों को मजबूरी में एमएसपी से कम रेट पर अपनी फसल बेचनी पड़ रही है।
Hooda said standing crops of farmers across the state including Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Jind, Kaithal, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Sonipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra have been ruined due to the rains in the last days. He said there is an urgent need for government intervention to provide immediate relief to the farmers.
“The government assures compensation and pretends to carry out a Girdawari every season after crop loss but farmers do not get compensation. Therefore, the government should stop going back on its promises made to the farmers and compensate them for their loss. Special focus is needed in villages where the water logging situation is worse and the water drainage system should be made immediately,” he said.
The Leader of Opposition said that today the farmer has been hit by multiple problems as they have been impacted by inclement weather, inflation, government apathy and above all, a government that has failed to keep its word.
“Due to the rain in the field, the farmer's hard work is getting washed away. The government had promised that procurement would start from the 25th but the farmer is getting hit by government apathy. Despite repeated demands, the government has not yet started the procurement of paddy in the mandis. Therefore, farmers have to sell their crops at a rate lower than the MSP,” he said.
Not only paddy farmers, fruit and vegetable producers and traders are also facing the brunt of the government's policies. “The BJP-JJP government has implemented a 2% market fee on vegetables and fruits in the mandis. During our government this was waived off to give relief to farmers and traders but the present government again put additional burden on the producers and traders by imposing fees. The government should take back the decision of imposing mandi fees,” he demanded.
उन्होंने कहा कि सिर्फ धान ही नहीं, फल और सब्जी उत्पादकों व व्यापारियों को भी सरकार की गलत नीतियों का खामियाजा भुगतना पड़ रहा है। बीजेपी-जेजेपी सरकार की तरफ से मंडियों में सब्जी और फलों पर 2% मार्केट फीस लागू कर दी गई है। हुड्डा ने बताया कि उनकी सरकार के दौरान किसानों व व्यापारियों को राहत देते हुए इस फीस को खत्म कर दिया था। लेकिन, मौजूदा सरकार ने फिर से फीस लगाकर फसल उत्पादकों व व्यापारियों पर अतिरिक्त बोझ डालने का काम किया। सरकार को मंडी फीस लगाने का फैसला फ़ौरन वापिस लेना चाहिए।
