Ambala- खराब बीज की वजह से इस बार सूरजमुखी के किसानों को सता रही है उत्पादन में गिरावट की आशंका: हुड्डा

अंबाला।। पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और नेता प्रतिपक्ष भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने सरकार से सूरजमुखी उत्पादक किसानों का संज्ञान लेने की मांग की है। उनका कहना है कि प्रदेश के सूरजमुखी उत्पादक किसान इसबार कम उत्पादन की आशंका से घिरे हैं। क्योंकि इस बार सरकार की तरफ से वक्त पर बेहतर बीज उपलब्ध नहीं करवाया गया। इसके चलते किसानों को काफी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ा। बीज किल्लत के चलते कुछ निजी विक्रेताओं ने कई गुना महंगे रेट पर किसानों को बीज बेचे और जो बीज बेचा गए वह भी निम्न श्रेणी के निकले। इसलिए इस बार उत्पादन पर इसका असर देखने को मिलेगा।

हुड्डा अंबाला में कई कार्यक्रमों में शिरकत करने पहुंचे थे। यहां बयान जारी कर उन्होंने कहा कि किसानों को वक्त पर बढ़िया बीज मुहैया करवाना सरकार की जिम्मेदारी थी। साथ ही बाजार में नकली बीज की बिक्री और ब्लैक मार्केटिंग पर रोक लगाना भी सरकार का काम है। लेकिन सरकार ने ऐसा नहीं किया। इसका खामियाजा आखिरकार सूरजमुखी के किसानों को भुगतना पड़ा। प्रत्येक किसान को हजारों रुपए का घाटा उठाना पड़ रहा है। सूरजमुखी उत्पादक किसानों ने नेता प्रतिपक्ष से मुलाकात कर अपनी समस्याओं से अवगत करवाया है। उन्होंने मांग की है कि सरकार किसानों को उचित मुआवजा दे।

भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने एक बार फिर गेहूं के किसानों को एमएसपी पर ₹500 बोनस की मांग को दोहराया है। उनका कहना है कि गेहूं के किसानों पर इस बार बेमौसम बारिश और महंगाई की दोहरी मार झेलनी पड़ी है। पेट्रोल-डीजल व अन्य चीज़ों की आसमान छूती कीमतों के चलते किसान की लागत में बेतहाशा बढ़ोत्तरी हुई है। साथ ही फसल पर पहले बेमौसमी बारिश और फिर वक्त से पहले शुरू हुई गर्मी की मार पड़ी। इसकी वजह से प्रति एकड़ गेहूं का उत्पादन 5 से 10 क्विंटल कम हुआ है। ऐसे में सरकार को चाहिए कि वह किसानों के नुकसान की भरपाई करे और उन्हें एमएसपी पर बोनस दे।

हुड्डा का कहना है कि 12 दिन से किसान लगातार मंडी में अपनी फसल लेकर पहुंच रहे हैं। लेकिन अब तक ना तो मंडियों से उठान शुरू हुआ है और ना ही किसानों को पेमेंट की जा रही है। सरकार को दोनों प्रक्रियाओं में तेजी लानी चाहिए।

Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has demanded the government to take cognizance of the problems faced by sunflower growing farmers as they face the possibility of lower production this time.

Hooda said farmers were not provided better seeds by the government on time which put farmers in a desperate situation and they fell prey to the frauds of private sellers. “Due to the shortage of seeds, private vendors sold seeds to farmers at rates which were many times higher than the normal price and the seeds sold were of low grade. This is the reason why production is expected to be less,” he said.

Hooda, who had arrived in Ambala today to attend several programs, said that it was the responsibility of the government to provide quality seeds to the farmers on time. “It is also the job of the government to stop the sale and black marketing of fake seeds in the market, but the government did not do so. The brunt of this ultimately fell on the sunflower farmers. Every farmer is facing a loss of thousands of Rupees,” he said.

Sunflower growing farmers met the Leader of the Opposition and made them aware of their problem. Hooda demanded the government should give proper compensation to the farmers.

Hooda once again reiterated demand of Rs 500 bonus on MSP to wheat farmers. “Wheat farmers have to face the double whammy of unseasonal rains and inflation this time. Due to the skyrocketing prices of petrol, diesel and other inputs, the cost of the farmer has increased tremendously. Along with this, the wheat crop was first hit by unseasonal rains and then by the early summer heat. Due to this, the production of wheat per acre has decreased by 5 to 10 quintals. In such a situation, the government should compensate the loss of farmers and give them bonus on MSP,” he said.

The former Chief Minister said farmers are continuously reaching the market with their crops since 12 days, but till now neither the lifting has started from the mandis nor payment is being made to the farmers. He said the government should make an urgent intervention and expedite both the processes.

The Leader of Opposition has also lodged a strong objection to the closure of Dhand and nearby mandis. “The government has proved the fears of the farmers right by closing these mandis. This season the government has proved their fears true by closing many mandis. The government had earlier talked about closing half a dozen mandis in that season by issuing a letter but the letter was withdrawn due to opposition of the farmers and the opposition and it was told to keep the mandis open,” he said.

“The truth is that farmers have been ordered to take the crop directly to the private godowns. There, farmers have to wait in long queues for several hours and farmers are suffering huge economic loss. The government should abandon its anti-mandi mindset and restart the mandis in the interest of farmers,” he said.

नेता प्रतिपक्ष ने ढांड और आसपास की मंडियों को बंद करने पर भी कड़ी आपत्ति दर्ज करवाई है। उनका कहना है कि सरकार ने इन मंडियों को बंद करके किसानों की आशंका को सही साबित कर दिया है। इस सीजन में सरकार ने कई मंडियों को बंद करके उनकी आशंका को सच साबित कर दिया है। पहले बाकायदा लैटर जारी करके सरकार ने उस सीजन में आधा दर्जन मंडियां बंद करने की बात कही थी। लेकिन किसानों और विपक्ष के विरोध के चलते उस लैटर को वापिस लिया गया व मंडियों के खुला रखना की बात कही गई।

लेकिन सच्चाई यह है की किसानों को सीधे निजी गोदाम में फसल ले जाने के आदेश दिए गए हैं। वहां कई-कई घंटे लंबी कतारों में किसानों को इंतजार करना पड़ रहा है। इसकी वजह से किसानों को भारी आर्थिक नुकसान हो रहा है। इसलिए सरकार को अपनी मंडी विरोधी मानसिकता त्यागकर किसानहित में मंडियों को फिर से चालू करना चाहिए।
