चंडीगढ़।। हरियाणा कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष कुमारी सैलजा ने कहा कि इस बार रबी की फसल किसान के लिए घाटे का सौदा बन गई है। समय से पहले गर्मी आने की वजह से किसान की मेहनत भी व्यर्थ जाती हुई नजर आई। तापमान में बढ़ोतरी के कारण गेहूं व सूरजमुखी की फसल सबसे अधिक प्रभावित हुई और इनका दाना 22 प्रतिशत तक कमजोर हुआ है। इससे फसल उत्पादन गिर गया और पीड़ित किसान के नुकसान की भरपाई के लिए प्रदेश की भाजपा-जजपा गठबंधन सरकार को आगे आना चाहिए।

विशेषज्ञों के मुताबिक गेहूं का दाना सामान्य से 22 फीसदी कमजोर है, जिसके कारण प्रति एकड़ 5 क्विंटल तक उत्पादन गिरा है। यानी, किसानों को प्रति एकड़ दस हजार रुपये से अधिक का नुकसान हो रहा है। इसके बाद भी भाजपा-जजपा गठबंधन सरकार ने उनकी कोई सुध नहीं ली है।

सैलजा ने कहा कि इस बार रबी सीजन की फसलों को तैयार करने में किसानों को अन्य वर्षों के मुकाबले अत्यधिक मेहनत करनी पड़ी। डीएपी व यूरिया की किल्लत के बीच उन्हें कड़ाके की ठंड में रात मंडियों में गुजारनी पड़ी तो फिर बेमौसमी बारिश ने उनके सपनों पर पानी फेरने का काम किया। कई बार हुई बरसात और ओलावृष्टि से नुकसान होता रहा, लेकिन किसान ने हिम्मत नहीं हारी और वह अपनी बची हुई फसल की सेवा में जुटा रहा, ताकि विपरित परिस्थितियों में भी ठीक उत्पादन हो सके।

President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Kumari Selja said that this time Rabi crop had become a loss deal for the farmers. Due to early arrival of summers, the farmers’ hard work also appeared to be going in vain. Wheat and sunflower crops were most affected due to increase in temperature and their grain had weakened by 22 percent. Due to this, the crop production fell. Therefore, the BJP-JJP alliance government of the state should come forward to compensate the victim farmers for their loss.

In a statement issued to the media, Kumari Selja said that this time, farmers had to work harder as compared to other years in preparing the crops of Rabi season. Amidst the scarcity of DAP and urea, farmers had to spend nights in the mandis during cold winter and then the unseasonal rains also spoiled their dreams. Many times the rain and hailstorm kept causing damage, but farmers’ did not lose hope and kept busy in fields, so that even in adverse conditions, proper production could be yielded.

The Haryana Congress President said that the anti-farmer attitude of the BJP-JJP alliance government had started coming to the fore amidst repeated rains and hailstorms. The government did not take any step to compensate the loss to the farmers. Still, the farmers’ hoped that their hard work would be successful and that they would be able to repay their debt by producing a good crop. It was a pity that this time nature remained against the farmer. When the crop was getting ready, the temperature started increasing rapidly and the crop ripened before time due to which the wheat grain remained weak.

Kumari Selja said that according to experts, the wheat grain was 22 per cent weaker than normal, due to which the production had fallen by 5 quintals per acre. That is, farmers were losing more than Rs 10000 per acre. Even after this, the BJP-JJP alliance government had not taken any care of the farmers.

Kumari Selja said that when the wheat crop had come to the market along with the reports of experts, the state government should take care of the farmers. She said that the farmers’, who had got crop insurance from insurance companies, should be paid for less production and those without crop insurance, should be compensated by the state government itself, so that the debt-ridden farmers can also live life with dignity.

कहा कि बार-बार बारिश व ओलावृष्टि के बीच ही भाजपा-जजपा गठबंधन सरकार का किसान विरोधी रवैया सामने आने लगा था। किसानों को नुकसान की भरपाई के लिए सरकार ने कोई कदम नहीं उठाया। फिर भी किसान को आस थी कि उसकी मेहनत सफल होगी और अच्छी फसल तैयार कर वह अपना कर्जा उतारने में सफल होगा। अफसोस ही है, जो इस बार प्रकृति किसान के खिलाफ ही रही। फसल तैयार हो रही थी तो तापमान में तेजी से बढ़ोतरी होने लगी और फसल समय से पहले ही पक गई। इससे गेहूं का दाना कमजोर रह गया।

सैलजा ने कहा कि जब विशेषज्ञों की रिपोर्ट के साथ ही गेहूं की फसल भी मंडी में आ गई है तो अब प्रदेश सरकार को किसानों की सुध लेनी चाहिए। जिन किसानों ने बीमा कंपनियों से फसल बीमा करवाया हुआ है, उनसे कम उत्पादन की एवज में भुगतान करवाना चाहिए। जबकि, जिन किसानों का फसल बीमा नहीं हुआ है, उनके नुकसान की भरपाई प्रदेश सरकार को खुद करनी चाहिए, ताकि कर्ज तले दबे किसान भी सम्मान के साथ जीवन जी सकें।
