हुड्डा ने कहा कि सिर्फ सिरसा, फतेहाबाद, कैथल, जींद, अंबाला, हिसार, रोहतक, गुड़गांव ही नहीं पूरे हरियाणा में नशा चिंताजनक तरीके से फैल रहा है। खुद सरकार की कई रिपोर्ट्स बता रही हैं कि हालात काबू से बाहर निकल चुके हैं। इससे पहले आई NCRB की रिपोर्ट से पता चला था कि नशे की ओवरडोज से मौत के आंकड़े में हरियाणा ने पंजाब को भी पीछे छोड़ दिया है। नारकोटिक्स के मामले में हरियाणा बड़े-बड़े राज्यों को पछाड़ चुका है।
नेता प्रतिपक्ष ने कहा कि लॉकडाउन के दौरान हुए शराब घोटाले और उसके बाद पूरे मामले में सरकार की लीपापोती से स्पष्ट हो गया कि नशा कारोबारियों को सरकार का संरक्षण हासिल है। सरकार के संरक्षण बिना यह अवैध कारोबार इतना फल-फूल नहीं सकता। अगर ये आरोप गलत हैं तो सरकार नशा कारोबारियों और घोटालेबाजों पर कार्रवाई क्यों नहीं कर रही?
भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने कहा कि सरकार की नशा कारोबारियों से सांठगांठ सिर्फ आज नहीं बल्कि आने वाली नस्लों तक को भी बर्बाद कर रही हैं। यह गठबंधन पूरे देश में नंबर वन हरियाणा के हमारे सुनहरे सपने को धूमिल कर रहा है। कांग्रेस कार्यकाल के दौरान प्रदेश के युवाओं को नशे से दूर रखने के लिए ही हरियाणा को खेलो और शिक्षा का हब बनाया गया था। इस दौरान हजारो खिलाड़ियों को सरकारी नौकरी, खेल कोटे का लाभ और हजारों खिलाड़ियों को प्रोत्साहन राशि दी।
इसके चलते हरियाणा खेलों में नंबर वन बना। कांग्रेस कार्यकाल में लाखों की संख्या में नौकरियां दी गई और जमकर औद्योगिक विकास किया गया, ताकि प्रदेश में बेरोजगारी को खत्म किया जा सके। प्रति व्यक्ति आय, प्रति व्यक्ति निवेश और रोजगार सृजन में हरियाणा ने तमाम राज्यों को पीछे छोड़ दिया था। क्योंकि, उस वक्त की सरकार को पता था कि बेरोजगारी से हताश युवा ही नशे और अपराध की गिरफ्त में ज्यादा फंसते हैं। लेकिन आज हरियाणा में बेरोजगारी चरम पर है। इसलिए अपराध और नशा भी पूरी तरह बेकाबू है।
भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने सभी अभिभावकों से आह्वान किया कि वह अपने बच्चों पर विशेष ध्यान दें, क्योंकि जब सरकार तमाशबीन बन जाती है तो परिवार की जिम्मेदारी और ज्यादा बढ़ जाती है। हुड्डा ने युवाओं से भी आह्वान किया कि बेरोजगारी या अन्य किसी हताशा के चलते नशे का शिकार ना बनें। वो हौसला बनाए रखें, क्योंकि जल्द ही हरियाणा से नशा कारोबार को बढ़ावा देने वाली इस सरकार की विदाई होने वाली है। इसके बाद फिर से खेल, शिक्षा व रोजगार के सुनहरे अवसर युवाओं को मुहैया करवाए जाएंगे।
Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed deep concern over the increasing use of drugs and intoxicants in Haryana. He said youth of the state are constantly getting caught in the grip of drugs and crime, while the BJP-JJP government is sitting as a mute spectator as youth of the state are falling victim of intoxications.
“Report from Sirsa district
alone shows that 20 percent of the people here are in the grip of drugs. There
have been 7 deaths due to overdose in the last 15 days. Even small children are
ruining their lives by falling prey to dangerous drugs. In Sirsa, during the
last 8 years, more than 1.25 lakh people have visited the civil hospital for
drug de-addiction. This is only the figure that has come to the fore, whereas
many drug addicts do not come out because of fear or shame. They are slowly
being consumed by this silent epidemic and face ruin and death,” he said.
Hooda said not only in
Sirsa, Fatehabad, Kaithal,jind, Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak, Gurgaon, but the menace
of addiction is also spreading all over the state in a worrying manner. “Many
reports of the government itself are telling that the situation has got out of
hand. Earlier, the NCRB report had revealed that Haryana has overtaken Punjab
in the death toll due to drug overdose. In the case of narcotics, Haryana has
overtaken big states,” he said.
The Leader of the
Opposition said that the liquor scam during the lockdown and the subsequent
cover-up of the government in the whole matter made it clear that those dealing
with intoxicants have the protection of the government. “This illegal business
cannot flourish so much without the protection of the government. If these
allegations are false then why is the government not taking action against drug
dealers and scamsters,” he questioned.
Hooda said that the
government's nexus with drug dealers is destroying not only today but even the
generations to come. “This alliance is tarnishing our golden dream of number
one Haryana in the entire country. During the Congress tenure, Haryana was made
a hub of sports and education only to keep the youth of the state away from
drugs and other intoxicants,” he said.
“During our government,
thousands of players were given government jobs, sports quota benefits and
incentives were given to thousands of players. Due to this Haryana became
number one in sports. During the Congress tenure, lakhs of jobs were given and
industrial development was done at a rapif pace so that unemployment could be
eradicated in the state,” he said.
“Haryana had left many
states behind in terms of per capita income, per capita investment and
employment generation. This was because the government believed that generating
employment was critical to stopping the youth away from drugs and crime. Today,
however, unemployment is at its peak in Haryana and this pushed us in a position
where and intoxication are also completely out of control,” he added.
Hooda called upon all the
parents to pay special attention to their children because when the government
becomes a silent spectator, the responsibility of the family increases even
more. He also called upon the youth not to become a victim of drugs due to
unemployment or any other desperation. “Keep your spirits up because soon this
government, which is promoting drug trade from Haryana, is going to
overwhelmingly voted out. After this, golden opportunities for sports,
education and employment will again be provided to the youth,” he said.
“The youth of Haryana are
the pride of not only the state but the entire country because the youth of
Haryana have brought glory to the country all over the world in sports and in
other fields. It is our first responsibility to save the youth who have brought
glory & pride to the country,” he said.
