मुख्यमंत्री की अध्यक्षता में खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 की तैयारी की समीक्षा के लिए सह-समन्वय आयोजन समिति की आयोजित दूसरी बैठक के दौरान यह निर्णय लिया गया। खेल और युवा मामलों के राज्य मंत्री, संदीप सिंह भी बैठक में मौजूद रहे। बैठक में भारत सरकार के अधिकारी भी वर्चुअली जुड़े।
बैठक में निदेशक, खेल और युवा मामले, पंकज नैन ने खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 की तैयारियों के संबंध में विस्तृत प्रस्तुति दी। मुख्यमंत्री ने संबंधित अधिकारियों को खेल के बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत और सुव्यवस्थित करने के भी निर्देश दिए हैं। बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री को बताया गया कि विभिन्न खेल परिसरों, हॉकी स्टेडियम और बैडमिंटन हॉल, ऑडिटोरियम और एथलेटिक स्टेडियम के विकास कार्य पूरे होने वाले हैं और दिसंबर तक बनकर तैयार हो जाएंगे। इनकी तैयारियों की साप्ताहिक समीक्षा की जा रही है। खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 में पंचकूला से यमुनानगर के बीच साइकिलिंग प्रतियोगिता होगी। मुख्यमंत्री इन आयोजन स्थलों का स्वयं जायजा भी लेंगे।
उन्होंने बताया कि कार्यक्रम का शुभंकर ’धाकड़’ और थीम सॉन्ग तैयार कर लिया गया है। इसके लॉन्च और प्रमोशन सेरेमनी की तारीखें जल्द ही तय की जाएंगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने खेल विभाग के अधिकारियों को खेल की निगरानी की जिम्मेदारी जिला खेल और युवा मामलों के अधिकारियों (डीएसओ) को देने और खेल के बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ाने और निकट भविष्य में खेल विभाग में इंजीनियरिंग विंग स्थापित करने की संभावनाओं का पता लगाने के भी निर्देश दिए। एचएसवीपी द्वारा एक जनवरी, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 से 𝟏𝟎 खेल परिसरों को खेल विभाग को सौंप दिया जाएगा। इन स्टेडियमों का वार्षिक रखरखाव खेल विभाग द्वारा किया जाएगा।
This decision was taken during the second meeting of the Organizing-cum-Coordination Committee to review the preparation of Khelo India Youth Games-2021 under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Manohar Lal. Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sandeep Singh was also present in the meeting. The officers of Government of India also connected digitally in the meeting.
An elaborate presentation was given by the Director, Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Haryana, Pankaj Nain regarding the preparations being made for the Khelo India Youth Games -2021. The Chief Minister has also directed the officers concerned to further strengthen and streamline Sports infrastructure. He was apprised in the meeting that the developmental works of various Sports Complexes, Hockey Stadium and Badminton Hall, Auditorium & Athletic Stadium are on the verge of completion and will be ready by December. The Chief Minister was also apprised that the cycling event in the Khelo India Youth Games -2021 will be held on the road between Panchkula to Yamunanagar. The officers informed the Chief Minister that a weekly review of the preparations is being done. The Chief Minister will also be inspecting the venues being prepared for the event. Chief Minister, Manohar Lal was further apprised that the mascot for the event, ‘Dhakad’ and the theme song are ready. The dates for the launch ceremony and promotion ceremony will soon be decided.
The Chief Minister also directed the sports department officers to give the responsibility to monitor Sports to the District Sports & Youth Affairs Officers (DSOs) and to further augment Sports Infrastructure and explore the possibilities of setting up Engineering Wing in Sports Department in the near future. He was apprised during the meeting that 10 sports complexes will be handed over by HSVP to the Sports Department from January 1, 2022. The annual maintenance of these stadiums will be done by the Sports Department.
